At Journey to Hope Ministries, we believe in celebrating life’s milestones and creating special moments for youth transitioning out of foster care. Through our events, we provide opportunities to build community, foster belonging, and share the love of Christ. Here’s a glimpse into how we’ve made an impact through our recent events and programs:
Birthday Boxes
Birthdays are a time for celebration and joy, and what better way to spread the love than by giving back to those in need?
At Journey to Hope Ministries, we are dedicated to spreading love and joy to teens in foster care who may not have the same opportunities as others. With foster youth moving an average of seven times, birthdays can easily be forgotten. However, our Birthday Box initiative ensures that no birthday is overlooked, adding a touch of magic to their special day.
How You Can Help
- Donate: Your financial contribution, will make a meaningful impact and help spread love and joy to those in need.
- Spread the Word: Share the initiative with friends, family, and colleagues. Encourage others to get involved and make a difference.
- Nominate: Help us identify deserving teens in foster care aged 13-21 who would benefit from receiving a Birthday Box. Your nomination can bring joy and make a real difference in their lives.
Sports Camp
A day of fun, growth, and teamwork! Our Sports Camp brought youth and their caregivers together for an exciting day of learning sports skills, building connections, and creating lasting memories. With trusted community leaders volunteering as coaches, the camp fostered teamwork, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
High School Graduation Celebration
Honoring milestones and inspiring futures! Our graduation celebration recognized teens who defied the odds to complete high school. Each graduate was celebrated with a heartfelt party, thoughtful messages, and meaningful gifts to commemorate their achievement and encourage their next steps.
Summer Fun Day
A day of laughter, connection, and carefree fun! Our Summer Fun Day offered foster youth a chance to enjoy activities, participate in raffles, and receive thoughtful gifts. It was a beautiful opportunity for these youth to build friendships and enjoy being kids in a supportive and joyful environment.
Christmas Party
season of love and giving! Our Christmas Party brought smiles to many faces through fun games, exciting prizes, and heartfelt gifts. This special event celebrated the spirit of the season and reminded youth they are deeply valued and cared for.
Galentine’s Day Brunch
Galentine’s Day Brunch is a special gathering for foster youth girls (ages 13-21) to celebrate friendship, empowerment, and self-worth in a joyful and uplifting environment. Guests will enjoy a delicious brunch, exciting raffle prizes, and meaningful connections that inspire confidence and belonging.
